Life at APFT Crew for 5 months in WORDS :)

Well, 5 months gone by air in a just a flick of a finger. Predicted graduation of Ab-Initio ATPL for me is 18 months and 13 months to go if everything goes smooth. Life here I can say is moderate, simple and relax, but of course I still miss Penang a lot, but for chasing the dream of mine, sacrifice is needed.

Food is great, sports and entertainment is just good. Loneliness always fills in me, but books fills my hand. I understand now, for every dream there is challenges and obstacles a person need to get through. I'm facing mine now so do all Aviators out there. To all the Aviator's, once a Pilot, always a Pilot !

Okay, what's my progress at here ? At first, my batch started off with PPL (Private Pilot License  course which I finished in 1 month sharp. God bless, I passed all the necessary PPL exam in one sitting. The hardest part ? I would say Navigation and Meteorology ! Only two cadets in my batch including me passed in one sitting. If you are wondering why ? I would say, less revision. After that we went into Management Course which includes quite a number of subject for full-filling MQA (Malaysian Qualifications Agency) requirement for Diploma program in Aviation. Some of the subject we went into for 2 months duration are Bahasa Kebangsaan, Pengajian Malaysia, IPC (Interpersonal Communication) and OB (Organizational Behavior). Passed all in grade A which I'm really happy with it ! Hopefully my CGPA would rise and rise :)

Currently in Phase 1 ! The start of my aviation subjects and headache of-course ! 4000++ pages for me to study and 11 books for me to indulge in 2.5 months ! Is that possible ? Well, it is a YES ! I've gone through phase 1 for I guess 3 weeks already by now, and I feel with constant study and revision, most of the cadets can get through, but of-course EASA Exam is another case :(

To those aspiring Pilot's out there, EASA 1 which is Phase 1 includes some technical subjects such as Airframe System, Power Plant, Electrical and Electronics, Principle of Flight, Air law,  VFR and IFR Communications and Human Performance and Limitations. All these subjects are according to EASA and DCA Malaysia combined standard and it is quite hard to get through. Just for info, each subject you wanted to resit in case you failed will cost you RM600 !!! Aim for ONE GO !!!

Alright, APFT (Asia Pacific Flight Training) do train cadets practically for fulfilling the requirement of DCA Malaysia for air crew licensing. Such as ground training, flight training and also simulator training ! So what is SIMULATOR training ? A simulator is actually a machine that will replicate any situation in this case flying to the pilot to handle and counteract with it. A simulator can replicate emergencies such as engine failure and bad weather without causing high cost and even human life !

In APFT we have 3 simulator at the KBR ground school. Namely, ATR72-200 which can be configured to Piper Warrior Seminole by ALSIM. And 2 unit of Diamond-40 by Diamond Tech. One of the Diamond simulator is reserved for MPL student usage only for now and others are ATPL cadets.

Visiting Wife of a Pilot !

Must be wondering who's the pilot's wife i'm talking about here, it's no other the aircraft itself. Yes it's true, no matter who is the real human wife of a pilot is, his first wife will always be an aircraft ! There is a lot perception of the society nowadays towards a pilot, such as, playboy's, cool guy or rich guy. Well I'm here to say, pilot are so much more humble then I always thought of. Yes it's for real, those instructors that is teaching me right now is very humble and kind ! 

Well skip this topic first, let me share about the hangar visit we had few weeks ago, well sorry for late updating this as I'm quite frustrated with internet connection I had this few weeks. Kota Bharu APFT hangar or KBR APFT hangar is just situated about 500 meters away from the main public KBR terminal or about 300 meters away from KBR Department of Civil Aviation or KBR aerodrome tower. It lies about 16 meters AMSL. For our info this hangar is just opened less than 2 years ago, so it's still brand new with room's for flight planning and a small cafeteria for cadet's and instructors usage. There is a big space for APFT FAME (Foundation for Aviation Mechanical Engineering) student's to put their hands on the aircraft itself for practical. Well, we as pilot cadet's really hope that they did their job well, as our life is in stake !

Well here in KBR APFT hangar, we have 6 Diamond 40, 2 Diamond 42 Twin Engine, 6 Piper Warrior's 2 and 3 and also 2 Piper Seminole Twin Engine. This number will always change depending on number of cadets here in KBR and also other circumstances. Other two 3 detachments around Malaysia for APFT are situated in Terengganu airport, Ipoh airport and also Subang airport for twin engine exercise only.

Yes, safety is always first in every hangar's around the world ! If you are over the line, please be prepared for your nightmare with CFI (Chief Flying Instructor), it is only for your safety ! Propellers, engines, jet blast and mechanical hazards are the common cause of life threatening accidents, so put more attention in it when you are around the vicinity of hangar. And ofcourse, please make sure your airport pass is up to date and not expired ! 

Alright, some aviation knowledge mainly on aircraft, personally I feel Diamond 40 is really the best to fly over here, why ? First of all, it's brand new, or in another word, its less likely to come out with failures ! Secondly, glass cockpit ! Almost all of the airlines in the world are using aircraft with glass cockpit fitted. Well what is glass cockpit ? A glass cockpit is an aircraft cockpit that features electronic (digital) instrument displays, typically large LCD screens, rather than the traditional style of analog dials and gauges. And simply I love that ! Thirdly, it is Joystick control ! Rather than Piper Warrior that uses control column just like the one in Boeing aircraft's.

Simple transition from one life to another, yes that's me. For those who close to me, they will know how much pain did I took for every change I made, for every RISK I took ! 1 1/2 year life as a Form 6 student, I manage to get all those experience in higher learning which I never regretted  1 year as Sales and Marketing Exec. I experienced the fear and adrenaline of facing different kind of human out there and life changing times. And finally as a working adult, banking life, I experienced financial skill and some tough time facing crisis and relationship problem.

Frankly speaking, I never thought God gonna arrange my life in a way that is so thrilling and although it is really a painful journey, but when I'm standing in a place where I wanted so much since so long, I feel it is worth-it at all ! I promised once before that if one day I ever started this journey to be a Pilot, I will dedicate my blog to any other aspiring soul out there for aviation. I will help any aspiring people out there who wanted to become Pilot as me, I will help them in anyway I could possibly bring them one step closer to the world of aviation. And here am I, with a NEW IDENTITY !

Life Changing !

8th of August, letter of DCA arrived with blessing to my post box, I was so happy although I was out in Gerik for work trip to promote Credit Card. This letter started the initial spark in myself for a new life changing thrill I'm going to face in the next few years. First applied for HM Aerospace which I turned down for some reason's although I got few offers from other flying schools such as KISTAA and Malaysia Flying Academy (MFA). Asia Pacific Flight Training (APFT) is my FINAL CHOICE !

Malaysia Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) Approval Letter for Professional Piloting Course a.k.a. Commercial Pilot Course 

It was only few procedures and without realizing I have been enrolled in the upcoming intake for October 2012, Batch 58/12 ! 30th October 2012 is my reporting date, the day where I waited eagerly everyday where it's getting closer and closer each day.

Arrived at Kota Bharu, Kelantan one day before reporting day with family, well nothing much for any sight seeing, ended up in hotel whole day because of tired. Prepared for the next day with much anticipation in my heart.

D'Day !

Sharp at 9am, reporting in crew residence, and what a surprise ! I met Captain Rosli, who interviewed me for KISTAA enrollment 2 years ago, for my surprise he still remember me and my dad, I was much shocked for his appearance there, and after a while I get to know he just joined APFT 1 week ago as Student Welfare Manager (SWM) back here in APFT.

For your info, residences a.k.a. villa back here is named after airports around the world specifically in Malaysia for easy recognition. By that time I had myself introduced to my BIG BIG batch mate Faruq ! Don't be surprised he is no longer that big by this time dude, SLIM NOW (serious slimming program) !

Positive. What that means for you ? Perhaps it is just a simple word for you. But it is not for me, it is money, it is happiness, it is life, it is my future. I met a great guy recently. A guy I trust would change my life forever if something goes wrong with my plan.

I don't want to say who is him, but he is great ! Sleep early, meet positive ppl, speak and listen positive thing, think happy things are some of the basic ingredient for positive attitude ! Damn I love this guy ! Gotta change my life a bit, yeah not going to talk about it ever, yeah it's true I miss her sometime, but it ain't gonna bring me anywhere, so how would it be if I forget it ?

I trust myself, she and him not gonna be long, but even it is going to be long, at least I must be richer than him ! 21 years old, must have all those things I wish to have, not gonna say what is that but Im gonna have it ! For now, I gotta be chill, positive and smile to her. You know when you smile to ppl that hate you, it gonna kill them XD ! Wohoooo ! Hong Kong here I come :)

To you, I'm sorry if I made you upset because of any of my words or action that causes you trouble with your friendships. I accept whatever you want to say to me, you say me cheap, stupid, bullshit just anything, it's okay I accept it. What I am gonna do is I'm just gonna show you that I'm better than him a lot in anyway ! That moment, I'm gonna come and find you and I hope you will realize what mistake you have done. I Guess. I'm Broken.

Sometime when I look back to those days nowadays, I feel proud. Not because I'm kind or what, but I had those moments, I've been in that state before, I done that before, and I knew is I'm the one who did all those thing. Perhaps no one can do the same thing just like I did for her, but I'm here wishing for her all the best.

Yeah, I heard something that really broke my heart down few days ago, I feel I'm so cheap, I feel I'm like a begged begging for love, but I stayed positive thanks to mr. Komalan. He told me something really touching for me to brave up.

I know Indian aren't for Chinese right ? But it doesn't mean your family can think I would throw acid on your face right after all this happened ? I don't know what is your reaction when you listened to your family said that, but I hope you know I treated you like no one before, a person who treated you like that before won't do such thing on you girl.

Racist ? It's every where around dude, I kinda don't trust any friend Fully now, except allanyeoh, I knew him well I guess XD ! Nvm la if your family thinks like that after I done so much, enough of hurts I get. Thanks. And hope your webcam can you use d, I'm glad to assist you even there is not even a thanks I guess.

NO ONE is BETTER than THEM in my life ~!

Dad you are 50 now, i know you did your best all these years to raise me, teach me, nurture me and make me happy with all your might. I don't know whether I made you proud or not, but I know I did not do anything that would disappoints you, that makes you feel I'm not the one you saw with your own eyes when I was born 20 years ago.

In this month, since a lot things have changed, I can feel our born is getting better, I can feel the warmth of my family. I don't know why but I just feel single is the best thing for me right now, not because of I hate love or what, but it's because I can't focus on family and my lover at the same time.

Ya it's true, I ignored my family when I was in love, I don't care how they feel when I reject when they wanted to have dinner together with me just for the sack to meet her or fetch her. I don't care even they waited for me to back home in the middle of the night. I just don't care my family.

Honestly after today, I started to realize, I'm not suitable to have a relationship now. Not at all ! There is saying my friend told me, love your family and the world will love you back. I need to hold on to this saying, I want to care my family more, more than myself, and not a stranger I knew 1 or less years who will Actually treat you like never knew you before and just kills you with one straight bullet through your heart.

Till at the last moment, family is the only ppl who will always stay beside you till the end. Trust me, it's not for me only, but I said this to every friend I know, family are best ppl and best friends you can have. Cherish your family guys, they are the only person who cares you the most.

One Word. Wonderful ~!

Wonderful journey. That's the word I can describe for the splendid moment I had with all of them during this journey :) 4 days and 3 night felt like it was 1 month of journey. Weird but that's the truth. 8am on Friday started our journey to the south.

Heading to KL, with a stop at somewhere near sungai perak to have a simple breakfast of kebab ayam for me as I love it always. From there I drive all the way down to KL. Around 1pm we reached and I tot at 1st I would lost on the way to the mines as I been there 7 years ago, but who knows I get the road right and reached our destination the mines wellness hotel at 2pm sharp.

Well me Simon and zuga suppose to stay at other hotel but we get an extra room at the 4 star rated hotel ! Woots ! It was splendid ! Big toilet ! Internet line ! Nice balcony and a swimming pool :) but I went to book another hotel because of that stupid simon at 1st but luckily cab claim our money back :)

Friday night went for a shopping at the mines mall, damn things there are so special and authentic ! Finally I watched x-men 1st class at TGV at there ! Nice movie but I let her waited me till I finished my movie :( I'm so bad :( but had a sweet call with her though XD !

Next morning well it's all about the competion. Well nothing much to talk about it, they did won it and I was so damn sleepy of driving :( knew a lot of pretty girls as well XD ! Had a natural ice cream which taste so damn good ! And not forgotten the rice I had the early morning ! And also a&w I had the other day !

Okay once pack up our luggage heading south too johor, this time us Simon drive and I slept all they down wuahahaha ! It was heavy rain and Simon gave shock by nearly having an accident ! God bless ! Reached the school and joined NSQ camp fire. Damn it was so high ! Dancing all the way round ! Had a stay there well.

Next morning on he way to melaka. Wao wao ! Chicken rice there was in ball shape ! Wth ! Quite nice indeed. Had some camwhore and some souvenir too. Walk walk then get into car and heads to seremban to have the best seafood I ever had ! RM19 per person only could you believe that ? I tot we would head back to home that night but end up staying at KL for the night. Forte is a Nice car to drive indeed !

Next morning, times square time ! Our brunch was vivo pizza ! Nice la Wei the chicken chop ! So damn full ! And after that straight head back to Penang . And all of them were sleeping like pigs =.= ! Drive all the way down to Penang.

Honestly, I tot my holiday gonna end simple, but 7 of these ppl change it all. Thank you guys. You guys really cheered me up like no one. Had the best time with you guys. And I won't forget that bird bird u guys gave me lmao ! Thanks har ! Hope there would be next time XD !
